Four bars and a tablao, all of it in Triana
This is the long version of a Seville evening: you cross the river, you eat standing up in four bars the way the city does, and then you sit down in a tablao a few streets from where flamenco took the shape it now has. Four hours, one guide, and no gaps to fill yourself.
The tapas half
Four tapas and three drinks at four different bars, because ordering everything in one place is the one thing no Sevillian would do. The guide chooses, orders and explains what has arrived, and the stops are neighbourhood bars rather than the ones with menus in six languages.
The flamenco half
The evening ends at a tablao in Triana with a live show: singer, guitarist and dancers, in a room small enough that the floor moves. The ticket is part of your booking.
Why the two go together
Because in Seville they always have. The tapa exists because it goes with a drink, and flamenco grew up in the rooms behind the bars of this quarter. Doing one without the other is only half of the evening.

Yes. Nothing else to buy at the door.
Write it in the comments box when you book and it reaches the organiser before the day. Traditional Sevillian bars lean heavily on fish and cured pork, so the more notice there is, the better.

Flamenco and tapas in Seville
Practical questions about the custom, useful background before you travel.
Because it is where both come from. The quarter was the sailors’ and then the potters’ quarter, its bars are still mostly neighbourhood bars, and the Cava de los Gitanos, a few streets from the tablao, is where flamenco is generally agreed to have taken shape.
A room with a small stage where flamenco is performed close up, usually by three or four artists. It is not a theatre and not a folklore show: the distance between you and the dancer is the point.
Late. Bars fill from nine in the evening and stay full past eleven, which is why an evening that starts at seven and runs to eleven is a normal one rather than a long one.
No. It is built out of forms called palos, and a good show works through several of them, but nobody needs to name them to feel what is happening.
