Tickets, with nothing to organise
Not everything needs a guide. These are tickets: an aquarium built around the first voyage around the world, which left from this river; a theme park on the site of the 1992 exposition with a water park attached; and an hour of Andalusian horses in an indoor arena outside the city. You book, you turn up, and the rest of the day is yours.

Thirty-five tanks arranged along the route of Magellan and Elcano, who sailed from this river in 1519 and whose surviving ship came back three years later having gone round the world. Each section is one of the ecosystems they crossed: the Guadalquivir, the Canaries, Patagonia, Brazil, the Philippines, the South Seas.
Around seven thousand animals, a nine-metre tank with bull sharks that is the deepest on the Iberian Peninsula, and a pool where you can put a hand in among the sea urchins. It is entirely indoors and air conditioned, which makes it one of the better plans for the worst hours of a Seville summer.

A theme park on the Isla de la Cartuja, built on the site of the 1992 world exposition and themed on the century when Seville was the port through which everything from the Americas passed. Six areas, from the port itself to the Amazon and the Caribbean, with rides, shows and a great deal of shade.
The same ticket covers Agua Magica, the water park next door: slides, a wave pool and a sand beach, which is the closest thing Seville has to a coast. In July and August that is usually the reason people buy the ticket.

An hour of Pura Raza Española horses in a covered arena: classical dressage, the movements the breed was developed for, set against the customs the region organises its year by — the fair, Holy Week, the pilgrimage to El Rocío.
It is not in the city. The arena is out on the road towards Madrid and there is no transfer included, so this is a ticket rather than an excursion and getting there is your own arrangement.
These are admissions. You go at your own pace, on the day you book, and there is nobody to keep up with. The aquarium and the park are things you can spend as long over as you like.
The aquarium is on the riverbank a short walk south of the centre and the theme park is on the Cartuja, twenty minutes away. The equestrian show is outside the city altogether and has no transport included, which its page states plainly.
Each of these works to its own calendar: the theme park runs a season, the show goes on selected days, and the aquarium opens every day with longer hours in summer. The booking calendar on each page is the authority.
